Truth Time

I guess it's time to come out with the truth. Here goes: I have been lame about not writing in my blog, because I don't feel blog literate. However, this entry is an effort to prove myself wrong & to begin the difficult process of learning a new "skill." My next task will be figuring out how to put pictures from my digital camera on the blog. Just be patient with me. I am trying.
So, as most of you know, hopefully, our family has moved to San Antonio, the Stone Oak area. I love it here. It's so beautiful! I do know that thinking San Antonio is beautiful is a controversial statement, but I do come from Dallas, so it's all relative. There are actually hills here, and the beautiful LDS temple that can be seen from my front door.
I have made some new friends that are so fun. Although I must say that I've left some friends that I dearly miss. I love running outside here. I had to get used to the hills, but I think what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
The kiddos are settling in nicely. Sterling begins Kindergarten on 8/25. He says he's ready, but I don't claim to be. Remi is on a waiting list for Mother's Day Out but will otherwise be hanging out with me. I am excited about the one-on-one time we'll be able to spend together. Johnathon is working hard at his new job, but I see great things for him around the corner. All of his hard work will pay off! His birthday is tomorrow- he'll be 36! Wow - time flies!
I do miss my family, but have made it back to Dallas a couple of times since May. They've made an effort to visit us as well. One thing I've learned is to use babysitters liberally. There are no strings attached , and the kiddos seem to enjoy playing with them.
Okay, I think that's enough for today. More to come, or Shari has promised to post a picture of me in a bathing suit - that's what prompted this entry - blackmail!

We'll miss you Merrills!

Miss Erica (and gang),
We'll miss having you so close by, but can't wait to come visit you in San Antonio. Don't go to the San Marcos outlet malls without me!
Love, The Hofhiens

The Fowers love you!

Really, you are leaving too?? I can't believe this is actually happening, the last hold-outs in the ward! It must be our turn to go next!! We know you will visit often, so we won't really have to say goodbye... just see you later!! We will really miss seeing Madeline and Remi "growing up" together. They would be such cute friends! We have loved knowing you - now for 7 year, can you believe it? I will miss seeing your kids in the office soon. XOXOXOXOXO....see you soon!!
Love, Michelle
